Escaping the hustle bustle that engulfs the city, the group will experience natural landscapes close to the Chegur Village. The first stop, “Meditation Forest” is an integrated township with a Spiritual Retreat Centre at its heart. Found amidst lush greenery, it is considered to be the high place in Hyderabad, charged with vibrations capable of working wonders.
The next destination will be a Handloom weavers cluster in Koyyalgudem Village. The group will be privy to experience the rich cultural heritage of the city. The Cooperative Society specializes in the production of Pochampally Ikat, the textile that found its way into the subcontinent via the silk route dating back to the c. 18th.
Concluding the tour would be a visit to the UNDP Natural dyes farm at Ghatkesar: the group will firsthand experience the process of deriving natural dyes or colorants derived from plants, invertebrates, or minerals to color the cloth. They will closely understand the process of creating dyes from plant sources that contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable way of life.
